With all eyes on Black Lives Matter, you won’t want to miss our Zoominar with Angela J. Davis, Distinguished Professor of Law at American University’s Washington College of Law. Professor Davis will examine the recent killings of unarmed Black men and women through the lens of prosecutorial power and racism in the criminal justice system, highlighting the importance of State’s Attorney elections. She brings a career’s worth of expertise to this discussion, having directed the D.C. Public Defender Service and the National Rainbow Coalition. Davis serves on the board of the Sentencing Project, is a member of the Council on Criminal Justice, and has won awards for her teaching and her scholarly works.
